The Chalet
your private retreat in the woods

The Chalet is situated on 5 acres of private land and sleeps 4. The property offers a living/dining room with a fantastic panoramic window allowing you to connect and enjoy the various wildlife species such as deer, various birds and pheasants or an occasional fox.

There is a fully fitted kitchen including dishwasher, fridge/freezer and electric hub/oven. You will find a kettle, toaster, microwave and kitchen essentials.

There is also a spacious bathroom with bathtub/shower to help you relax and unwind after a days exploring. On the ground floor is a bedroom with 2 single beds with 2 more single beds located on the upstairs mezzanine floor. Alternatively, the latter 2 beds can be 1 super-king size bed using a mattress bridge and strap, toped with a super-king size protector and sheet. The 2 single duvets remain.

The heating system is electric and can be managed by our guests to ensures a cosy and comfortable stay all year round. The kitchen and bathroom feature underfloor heating.

Through the patio door you can access the large decking area. There you find a picnic table for alfresco dinning. There is a bench and sunlounges available too. At the back of the property there is a private fire-pit area with benches where you can enjoy the sunset or stars above you, all surrounded by woodland. The fire-pit also functions as a BBQ.

 

Please note that the chalet does not offer a TV nor a washing machine. However, the free WiFi allows for streaming and there are washing self-service and launderette facilities in Nairn.

The chalet provides an excellent base for exploring the Scottish countryside the Highlands and coastlines. 

The nearest shops and café/restaurants are located in Nairn, approximately 9 miles. The location is rural and private and the chalet is not overlooked. There is no public transport towards the chalet beyond Nairn.

Betula achieved the Green Tourism Award in Bronze in early 2023 and is currently undergoing the Quality Assurance grading by VisitScotland.
