December 2025: You spoke - we listened!
One of the things our guests mentioned was the desire to have a TV in the chalet. Whether for rainy summer days or dark winter days, for relaxing family time or Netflix marathons.
Now we've got you covered with the new smart TV. Enjoy live TV via 'freely' or catch up on your favourite streaming service (Netflix, BBC iPlayer, Prime and others).
Simply log in with your own account details and lean back.
Full Fibre High Speed Internet
Arrived in Ardclach In October 2025.
Guests can enjoy reliable free high speed Wifi at the chalet. With a speed of 150Mbps you can work, play or both.
EV charging now available!
Since May 2025 Betula Chalet offers exclusive access to a second generation EV charger (by waEV®). To use the charger guests can download/use the Tap® app and request access to the Betula Guest Driver Group. On arrival guests find a QR code to connect the app and charger as well as more info.
The UK’s ETA scheme
The UK government is phasing in a new travel scheme. It will require people travelling to the UK without a visa to get an Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA). An ETA is a digital permission to travel.
This scheme is a new requirement for permission to travel to the UK which has been phased in since November 2023. This is not a visa, and entry requirements into the UK will remain unchanged. British and Irish passport holders do not need an ETA.
Visitors will need an ETA to:
- come to the UK for up to six months for tourism, visiting family and friends, business or study
- come to the UK for up to three months on the Creative Worker visa concession
- transit through the UK – including when not going through UK border control
Winter time is Sauna time!
A great way to spend a few hours a short drive from the chalet. You have several options to chose from, for example the 'Watershed Sauna' at Findhorn where you can enjoy the heat will looking out over the Moray Firth, also great to dip in afterwards to cool down.
Or the 'Smugglers Sauna' at Rothiemurchus Estate at the edge of Loch an Eilein.
Give it a go, if not already you will be a sauna fan in no time.
